This certification is not a knowledge certification but a certification that tests the experience of working on the OOAD principles. There are lots of books available in the market to teach you all the principles but that alone will not be enough to prepare for this certification. OOAD Exam has many scenario based questions, where in you will be provided with a particular design and you will be asked questions based on their practical usage. Therefore the right way to prepare for such certifications is by keeping your learning synchronized with your experience. If your job profile is such that you are not able to practice design principles during your work than you can practice scenario based questions by taking part in discussion forums related to software design and try to analyze the problems others are facing. You should also use exam simulators. They have lots of scenario based questions related to different design problems. |

Questions of the actual exam are similar to ICE exam and Whizlabs So no question actually surprised me.
About Whizlabs:
Notes help me understand what each objective related to. I used Whizlabs exam by Objectives. This helped me focus my study on small amount and improve. What is nice with the exam is that you have the explanation why an option is right and also why an option is false. Also I think for any exam you have 2 distinct parts: the understanding and the tests drill. The understanding you do it with the books and with practical experience. The drill you do it with tools like Whizlabs. It's difficult to succeed the exam without both: understanding + tests drill.
