OCP DBA Certification Exam Preparation
Oracle DBA Certification Exam
Currently Oracle DBA track is available for 2 versions of Oracle: 8i and 9i.
Whether to go for DBA 8i or 9i track?
Both oracle 8i and Oracle 9i are equally popular in the industry. So choosing the track depends mainly on your personal preference and work requirements.
If you are worried about the expiry of the 8i track, let us assure you that it is not expected to happen in the next 2-3 years. As is proved historically, Oracle keeps two DBA exam tracks alive at a time. Thus, Oracle is not likely to retire the Oracle8i DBA track until the release of the Oracle10i exam track, which is not expected to release so soon. Also candidates will be notified 6 months before Oracle announces the track's retirement.

If you are planning to go for 9i track, you have an option of taking the oracle 8i track first and than take the upgrade exam for 9i certification or directly go for 9i certification track. Choosing the first option also helps you to get around Oracle's mandatory training since OCPs in 8i are exempted from that requirement.

Whizlabs Customer Support

I bought 3 of your OCP DBA simulators for my training session on Jan 8, 2003. I used them throughout my training for 20 days for my batch of 13 students. All of the participants practiced through all the mock tests and the results were outstanding; for the first time we'd 100% pass rate. The average score in the actual exam is 88% and in your tests it was around 81%.
We were amazed at the quality of the explanations both in terms of breadth and depth. Also we found customization feature to be very useful especially for 3 of our students who were not able to move ahead in few topics. I look forward to see more of 9i simulators from you and wish you success. Thank you.
