These seem so cool.
I am afraid of this new version.
What is the effective way to study?
I dont have real switch and router.
If you have a time, pls give me some advices!!
and continue to stop your site on MSN?
I tried to out message....but I cant. sorry.

Dear Shashank,
Your query:-- A PRI S/T interface on a Cisco router needs a ________ to connect to the U reference point..
You need a Network Termination type 1 or NT1 in short.
The customer Premise side of the NT1 is the S/T reference point, And the interface of Local Loop at the NT1 is called the U reference point. Now don't ask me what is a NT1 and what's a Local loop? Better go through PPP,ISDN & FRAME-RELAY chapter's at list twice before sitting for the exam on Wednesday.
Good Luck!

Dear atsusy yamashita,
Welcome! to the forum.I realy appreciate your honest confession about not having an real router or switch, As you work in telecom, you can always ask your supervisor to help you by giving a offline switch or router for your practice in your off time.Next alternative is a vertual simulator.MSN is offbound with out an invitation.
There is a saying, Those who are afraid, consider them as dead.
So, I do not want to hear,
That you are in fear?
Don up your Gear
And to be a warrior.
Cut 607 in to pieces
just like a roll of sushi
prove your self to cisco
That you are fearless atsusy?

CCNA will be my first IT certificate(if I pass). I have no hands on experience in pc hardware/support or networking in a company. But I do have a bachelor science in information systems. I'm trying to get an entry level job in the networking field. Correct me if I'm wrong, should I be looking for a PC/support job or help desk? If I pass the CCNA and I look for a position in pc/network support, will employers choose me over a person with A+. If not, then what kind of position should I look for? I should have taken A+ first. I'm so dumb.

Dear Shashank,
Channel service unit/Digital service unit (Csu/Dsu)is just other side of the coin, normaly comes with an integral parts of a Modem. More or less its have the same functionality like NT1,but in ISDN service we normaly call it as NT1.
Hope your doubt is clear?

I've been using the Sybex book 640-507 and the switch is covered in appendix B. But no question were from that chapter in the 607 exam. Has Cisco stopped putting questions on the catalyst switch, eg. commands, configuration, etc.

Dear Bob,
Your resent quries answer is yes! You do not have to configure any switches in the exam, but you have to configure the Router instate?
And you must know the different type of switches and their uses and the difference between bridges & Routers.
Happy preparation!!

Dear Bob,
Your privious query about Ip address 201.105.13.0/26.......
Is a Class C address , as the first octet Value falls between the range of 192-223.Default subnet mask of class C is 255.255.255.0 or 24 bits.here its given /26 that means we have borrowed (26-24)= 2 bits from host octet, so 2^2=4 subnet .so host octet left with only (8-2)=6 bits so 2^6 = 64 (host) As it mentioned to find usable host and usable subnet we have to substruct 2 from each result to get the usable host and subnet so it comes (4-2)=2 subnet and (64-2)=62 Host but remember this answer is valid only for classfull address. If it is a classless IP then the answer will be B.4 networks 64 hosts.
Best wishes
