Hello all probably in completely the wrong forum but can anyone tell me why I am not able to ping anything from my Cisco pix 515 firewall ??

To ping out from your firewall and receive a reply you need to add some ICMP permit statements to allow relies back to the interface that initiated the ping. If you add the following you will be able to ping from your outside interface and receive replies back on that interface.

icmp permit any echo-reply outside
icmp permit any source-quench outside
icmp permit any unreachable outside
icmp permit any time-exceeded outside

You can use the "show icmp" command to view the current settings.

If you are using PDM to manage the firewall you will find these settings under "System Properties" tab > "Pix Administration" >ICMP.
