I'm looking for any good books to learn more about PIX, Secure Intrusion Detection System, etc. and the other Cisco security implementations. I'd like to educate myself on these topics and prepare myself for the security exams as well. Also, I could use a suggestion for a good VPN resource.

the managing cisco network security is the official cisco book for that test, and if you don't mind printing a lot, all the pix info you could want is posted on their site. i essentially printed a pix manual from their site. unfortunately, i don't have it with me to give you the link, just try searching the site for "pix" info and whitepages.
a non cisco book on ids is "network intrusion detection: an analysts handbook, second edition" by stephen northcut. it is supposed to be one of the better books on the subject.
