The passing score has been raised to 849. Do not worry I am in the same boat as you. I am taking the test on April 19 2001. Getting a little nervous too!!!!!! But I finally got a router to play with and having a good time now.

Now the question that I have is: the 849 is tha passing score does that mean 85% passing score. Oh boy!!!!!!!! That is higher than Microsoft. I guess that is the reason we get paid more.

I know this is an old topic, but when I saw Sherm74's comment, I had to respond. I am an MCSE and a CCNA. Every test I took to get my MCSE was in my opinion, more difficult than the CCNA which is a very straight forward, entry level test. The 849 is very reasonable considering how easy this test is. Cisco HAS to do something to help prevent the proliferation of ignorant CCNA's. If after a good solid study attempt with a good book, some hands on router practice and some practice exams a person still has difficulty with this test, they should seek a different line of work.
