I have registered here specifically to gain some advice for you professionals.
At the moment I'm in the second half of my degree (or third quarter, for the U.S.A. ers).
I'm working Internet support at the moment but I want more money so I'm thinking of taking the CCNA. However try getting the truth out of the colleges that provide the courses in the UK! They all say that I need to take exams for stuff I already know. What pre-requsites are really required for taking a CCNA exam?
If your thinking f*** this guy. Please, wouldn't you have appreciated this advice when you were starting out?

There are no required pre-requsites. This is an entry level certification. You should visit Cisco's web site and read what they have to say about all their certification tracks. Good luck.

Bigguns is right, there is no pre-requsites
for CCNA, however having knowledge of network devices and protocols will back you heaps.
