Vince.Williams	I'm an MCSE (NT4)thinking about going down the Cisco route (no pun intended!). My question is whether to go down the design route or to go via the installation -administration route. Can someone offer some advice. Thanks.
Joth	You want to get your CCNA first, then your CCDA, I just got my CCNA on Feb 16th and this coming saturday going for CCDA. This book I am reading even recommends to take the CCNA first.
csteinmetzjr	I took the CCDA exam prior to the CCNA exam. I found that in my case the CCDA was a little tougher as there were more open-ended questions related to business practices and situations. I would highly reccommed the CCNA exam first then the CCDA, as the CCDA exam builds upon the fundamentals learned within the CCNA track. Also, Cisco used to require that the CCNA was passed, but they have recently waived this and now it is just a strong reccomendation. Anyhow, hope this helps. Thanks.
Joth	Well just pass the CCDA test this past saturday 3/17. I found it alot harder then CCNA; the reason might be because I only took 3 weeks to prepare and take it. But I would say a good 1/2 of the test was reading case studies and answering questions about it. I think getting boson software was a defiantly help. Also I thought the edge software wasn't all that great, but after taken the test, it does help alot. Well on to the CCNP routing.
ciscoios12	Yes. Take both, with the CCNA first. That's only two exams. They are worth it.
