I want to get the CCNA certification.Can anybody tell me how much time will it take for its preparation, because i want to get certified as early as possible.I also have some prior basic knowledge of networking.
Also suggest me some books that i should use for its preparation.

I dont think it should take more than a month for somebody to study for CCNA. Especialy with prior knowledge.

I have heard 30 days on up. I knew nothing 4 months ago, bought the ccna prep library, studied HARD fo about 2 months and failed 2 times. I take it again tomarrow and feel good about my chances. 6 months was my goal to pass. Don't pay attention to the 30 days or 2 months. It will vary from person to person. What I do know is that if you want it enough...you will pass in your own time. I rate it as tough but obtainable.Cisco Press's ICND is a must (in my humble opinion) from what I have gained. The study guide, also cisco press is real nice too. Good luck!
